Ground coffee, a filter, cold water and time – all you need

How to Make a Cold Brew Cup of Coffee

1. Start by grinding 1 cup of your favorite coffee. If you don’t have a grinder then you can purchase ground coffee beans, but they won’t be as fresh as they would be if you did this on your own.

2. From here, put the ground coffee into a large pitcher and pour four cups of filtered water right over it. Use a long spoon to stir the coffee beans around and make sure they are being moistened by the water.

3. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or put a lid over it before putting it into your fridge overnight.

4. When you wake up in the morning, put a coffee filter over a cup and slowly pour the coffee in the pitcher into the filter. This will separate the liquid from the beans so you end up with one cup of cold coffee without anything chunky in it!

5. Go ahead and drink your coffee, either with or without ice. Now is also the time to add in any sweeteners or flavorings, if desired.

– If you don’t want to make coffee on a nightly basis, then make a large batch at once. This can mean making a 1/2 pound or pound at a time so it lasts you throughout the week. Just make sure you store the coffee back in your fridge in a sealed pitcher so it stays as fresh tasting as possible.

– Cold brewed coffee can stay for up to 2 weeks in your fridge without tasting any different. Of course this is dependent on how well you store it and whether or not it’s covered.

– There are cold brew machines you can purchase if this seems like it’s too much effort for you. These are affordable and don’t require any electricity, so they are great to have around.

– Invest in a coffee grinder if you want to experience extremely fresh coffee. These can be found for under $20 dollars and are very easy to use.

There you have it, all you need to know about cold brewed coffee! It’s definitely worth trying out, even if you don’t have stomach issues. An iced cold brew coffee drink can cool you off on a hot day or give you something to sip on when you don’t feel like drinking hot coffee. The taste is smooth, the smell is great and it’s very easy to make at home on your own.
